Then there is Venezuela’s Hugo Chavez, who promises to help Iran in any way he can if sanctions or a military air strike occurs. The best way for him to hurt the U.S. is to stop selling us oil. Along with that, Iran would stop their oil supply to us also. That can mean three things: gas prices go up to over four dollars a gallon; rationing of gas as it was during the Second World War, because of lack of supply. That price hike of gas would raise inflation to unheard-of heights.
Hugo Chavez was allowed to present himself before the United Nations on 9-20-06 in a way that was never heard of since the Cold War of the 1950s. Several times he called our president George W. Bush the devil. Although I am not fond of Bush, and have said on several occasions that I believe he is inspired by the devil—for a nobody like myself, that doesn’t mean much—but for a head of state to be so inflammatory, that is a serious accusation. But the most surprising part of his appearance at the United Nations was the hearty applause he received. That applause reiterates what I have heard from several people-in-the-know: Since the Iraq war, the world’s image of the U.S. has been greatly tarnished.
President Bush somehow believes he is an almighty kingly emperor and that the world is his empire. If anyone or any country doesn’t believe as he does, they are categorized as supporters of some terrorist gang—with power comes a potential for corruption and deceit. Does absolute power corrupt? Absolutely! He insists, one way or another, that he will not allow Iran to become a nuclear nation; he better think twice before he employs any drastic measures. If he does, Iraq was/is a cake walk in comparison to the damage Iran can do to us without any bomb. Iran’s president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, is someone to be reckoned with. This guy is sharp and is nobody’s fool. He has marbles and knows how to play them. Personally, I would rather go after two Saddams than one Ahmadinejad.
Update: Here are a few excerpts from an interview King Abdullah II of Jordan gave to TIME Magazine: Q: Five years after 9/11, has the war on terrorism made the world safer? A: Unless we solve the core problems, terrorism . . . will always be with us; Q: How tough should the U. S. get with Iran over its nuclear program? A: I don't think the Middle East could afford another war. And a war with Iran would open a Pandora's Box, one I don't think the Middle East could recover from.
It could be said that if Condoleezza Rice, a fast thinker, and Ahmadinejad engaged in a war of words, with his wit, Ahmadinejad would win hands-down; no one has been able to win against Rice’s slippery words, to date.
Although the U.S. is not a Christian nation, it is depicted by Arab countries as Christian. They believe that if one is an American, he/she is a Christian. The god of Islam is Allah; the God of Christians is Jehovah/Jesus Christ, whereas in North Korea, I think the majority of their population is atheists, either by force or choice.
This conflict could be viewed as a war of the Gods, or better yet, a religious war or holy war. That is religion’s crime against Almighty God. All three religions claim Abraham as their posterity. For that reason, it could be said that the Muslims, Christians and Jews are brothers and sisters. The Qur’an is the Muslims’ holy book, the Torah is the Jewish holy book, and the Bible is the Christian’s holy book. Even though there are similarities between the three books, the three religions are miles apart as to how to live to please God.
Jesus Christ, the founder of the Christian faith, teaches us to love our neighbor and our enemy, although the American government, namely George Bush, acts otherwise; Moses, the founder of the Jewish faith, offers material wealth, while the Qur’an’s founder and prophet, Mohammad, teaches to kill the infidel, although he uses milder words which imply the same thing: “Spreading Islam by the sword.”
Several days ago, Henry Kissinger, former Secretary of State in the Nixon Administration and an active political advisor to most presidents since then, made a statement similar to the following in a national newspaper: “We are on a course aiming toward a war of civilization/s [?]”. [This is not a verbatim quote.]
As for the Pope’s remarks concerning Islam: He cited the words of a Byzantine emperor who characterized some of the teachings of Islam’s Prophet Muhammad as “evil and inhuman” and referred to spreading Islam “by the sword.”
Also, concerning the Pope’s visit to Turkey this November 06, State Minister Mehmet Aydin, who oversees the religious affairs in Turkey, said he expected the Turkish authorities to cancel the visit if Benedict does not offer a full apology. “We are expecting the authorities to unilaterally cancel this visit. The Pope’s coming to Turkey isn’t going to foment the uniting of civilizations, but a clash of civilization,” he said.
“The Mujahideen Shura Council, an umbrella organization of the Sunni Arab extremist groups that includes al-Qaeda In Iraq, issued a statement vowing to continue its holy war against the U.S. and its allies.”
“This group said Muslims would be victorious and addressed the Pope as ‘the worshipers of the cross,’ saying ‘you and the west are doomed as you can see from the defeat in Iraq, Afghanistan, Chechnya and elsewhere. . . . We will break up the cross, spill the liquor and impose head tax, then the only thing acceptable is a conversion (to Islam) or (be killed by) the sword.’” Those are tough words.
Is all this rhetoric just idle talk? I believe this war of civilizations or clash of civilizations and “The War With No End” are synonymous., One of Webster’s definitions of the word “civilization” is this: “the total culture of a particular people, nation, period, etc.” America has the power and wealth, but Islam has the numbers and dedication. Dedication will most often win over its adversaries. No, this is not just idle talk.
How does Israel fit into this seemingly endless war? Actually, Israel inadvertently started it all. They have been mortal enemies with Arabs for over 3,000 years. Then the U.S. got involved in 1948 by supporting Israel. Harry S. Truman gave the order to his ambassador to the United Nations Security Council to vote ‘yes’ to give Israel the statute of statehood.
Since then, the U.S., by association with Israel, has also become an enemy of the Arabs. What exacerbated the issue is that we have been supplying Israel with billions of $$ and the latest high-tech military armament for the last 58 years or more.
Now here is where there is no end to the animosity between the American Government, Israel and the Arab civilizations: The U.S. will never discontinue its alliance with Israel; it will support Israel come hell or high water. The reason being, our government caters to the clout of the American Jewish community. They have that much power as to where America goes and what America does. The Arabs know this fact; therefore, they will, one way or another, continue in their attempt to destroy all countries that are pro-Israel. That means that this religious holy war will never come to an end. It is that simple.
It hurts me to think this country that I love—not the government—is the instigator of a war that may end in a nuclear conflict. The reason I say that is because five of these countries that are or may be players in this conflict have or will have the BOMB.
Even though this animosity is mostly between Arabs and “Christians,” we can not rule out three other countries: Russia, China, and Pakistan, with Pakistan being the most potentially volatile, although no one talks about it. I just heard on the news today that former Under Secretary of State Richard Armitage told Pervez Musharraf, president of Pakistan, right after 9/11, that if he didn’t cooperate with the U.S., we would bomb them back to the "Stone Ages." Sounds like the words of a bully using force. Several times, Bush said, "You are either for us or against us"—fighting words. Who likes bullies? Let’s see where this charge ends. Musharraf's book will be coming out this Friday, Sept. 25, 2006. What will it tell us?
The above scenario does not sound promising. Again, the only way for the U.S. to quell the war on terror against our homeland and elsewhere is to separate ourselves from Israel and get out of Arab countries. The only thing is, it will never happen, and it may be too late for such a thing to happen even if we wanted to. We need the Arab oil, and it would be inhuman of us to leave Israel isolated in the midst of half a dozen aggressive Arab countries.
The other possible solution to save humanity and end this war of civilization, which might ease the hatred between all parties, is to find another country–who knows where–to transplant the several million Jewish Israelis to another place far away from all Arabs. Sure, the Israelis would love that. That would never happen. The reason I say that is because the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is all about who the rightful owner/s of Palestine is/are. Also, the way the Israelis have been treating the Palestinians is what has—and still does —infuriated many other Arab countries; the Palestinians are their brothers and sisters.
In ending, the one issue that truly bothers me is that all this warfare is being done in the name of our Holy God. I do know that the God of this planet, Jesus Christ, is a peace-loving God. He does not approve of any of this violence.
Therefore, since there is no possible human solution to end the hatred between all fractioning parties, which is the core reason for this unending war, God may find it necessary to step in and put His angels to work. The evil (separation from God) that is going on in the entire world just can’t be tolerated by God much longer. Are you certain you are one of the few on God’s side? Religion won’t and can’t save you. The purpose of all religions per se, for the most part, is to further their own interests, and their adherents are the pawns.
That is the expressed reason/purpose for this entire blog. Please, for your own sake, read the messages herein. If you find any sections that don’t correspond with the New Testament, tell me about them by sending me a comment or email. I will respond to all that are presented in a civil manner. Your potential future eternity may be at stake.

Al Thinker, relax...everything is going as planned.
Everything in The Bible has to come to pass.
Even Jesus said these things must happen.
Almighty God is in control.
The day will come when all will be judged.
How are we going to get from here to there unless all this happens?
So rejoice, be happy, knowing that Our King and Lord will return.
It's not what you see, but how you look at it.
I see this world getting darker everyday, more evil by the hour.
But I also see God in action.
I see the words in The Bible of our God coming to life.
Anonymous, Thanks for your comments and your encouraging message. althinker

Jeff, thanks for your concern for this website and those who read it. I am a Christian and do not subsribe to the teachings of Allah. I believe most of the readers of this site are Christians. If they desire to know more about your religion, let them read the Qur'an.

Jeff, “The disciples were first called Christians at Antioch.” Acts 11:26. The words disciple, Christian and follower of Christ are all synonymous. In the gospels, Jesus said follow me, several dozen times, meaning, do what I do, do what I say, and go where I go.
Some theologians believe the word ‘Christian’ was use by nonbelievers in derogatory or contemptible manner against Christ’ disciples, meaning ‘little Christ.’
It is not a bad thing when someone calls him/herself a Christian, as long as one is living up to what Jesus requires as being His follower; the New Testament is full of what those requirements are.
As to who makes a person a Christian: When one believes in what Jesus made available to all humankind and obeys Him--which is critical--then Christ makes that person a Christian. It is easy to believe, but extremely challenging to obey all that Christ demands. Remember He is the Boss/Lord; what He says goes.
I focus on the hard-edged commands that are neglected by organized Churches.
May God continue to bless you in your search for the truth. Althinker
You could be no further from the truth as to what this website is all about. I purpose love of enemy and neighbor, at all levels, in our personal lives and in matters of greater significance.
Millie, on second thought, you are correct, I am a rebel. My motif is to continue a rebellion, which Jesus Christ started, against any organization or individuals–-namely George Bush–-who claims to be Genuine Christians and then live as enemies of Christ. Jesus Christ was the chief of rebels; His object was to start a rebellion–-which is still going on to this day--against the status quo of organized religion (the religious leaders of His time). Therefore, thanks for the complement.
Good day, sun shines!
There have were times of troubles when I didn't know about opportunities of getting high yields on investments. I was a dump and downright stupid person.
I have never imagined that there weren't any need in big initial investment.
Now, I'm happy and lucky , I started to get real income.
It gets down to select a proper companion who uses your money in a right way - that is incorporate it in real deals, parts and divides the profit with me.
You may get interested, if there are such firms? I have to answer the truth, YES, there are. Please get to know about one of them:
