Your first question was, “How can I blame the organized church for the sins of the individual people in the seats? The reason they are still sinning is because of what the church neglects to teach behind the pulpit. If they did preach Christ’s teachings, they would do one of two things: leave that church and go to one that is more pleasant and easier to live by, or start living as Scripture commands.

Second question. You will never in a life time hear a preacher say to anyone, they can make-up their god according to their liking. In its stead, the leadership preaches an anemic/lethargic gospel message. That message is not according to Christ’s gospel. What is created is a false gospel and a fake god according to the desires of the preacher. Guess what? The laity will believe in that gospel and then make-up rules to live by, that are spineless. The blame game belongs to the clergy for their greed for numbers and a large collection; also the blame belongs to the laity who don’t care to study the Scriptures to see actually what is commander in the New Testament.

Concerning how your hair dresser responded to the same message you both heard. She has a preconceived belief of what the Christian religion is all about, and you did the same. Therefore, you both heard two totally different message. Whose fault is it? Then I ask, where did she get the idea that God is a all loving God and would send no one to hell. I can guarantee you she didn’t get it from the Bible. Where else could she have got it from? I am certain any church that is preaching the true gospel message has at one time or another, in one way or another preached that principle of a all loving God is false.

I wish you were correct about a few that are in error in the organized religion. Why I blame the organized church is because the vast majority in those churches are living lives according to a false and easy-does-it gospel. I can’t understand how you continue to go to any church that doesn’t preach even a small part of what the New Testament teaches: I mean the hard-edged disagreeable part to our human nature, that would have driven your friend away. And there is plenty of hard-nose verses that must be taught, which are brought out in this website.

Concerning Matthew 27-30. That parable of the weeds and the wheat is referring to the world situation. We are not to kill or in some way destroy those who don’t believe, but we are taught to love them.

There are several verses that give us instructions as how to treat unbelievers in our churches: First. 1st Corinthians 5:1. A man has his father’s wife. And you are proud! Shouldn’t you have rather have been fulled with grief and have put out of your fellowship the man who did this?” Continuing 1st 5:11-13. “But now I am writing you that you must not associate with anyone who calls himself a brother but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolaters or a slanderer, a drunkard or a swindlers. With such a man do not even eat. . . . “Expel the wicked man from among you.”

2nd Thessalonians 3:14. “If anyone does not obey our instructions in this letter, take special note of him. Do not associate with him, in order that he may feel ashamed. Do not regard his as an enemy, but warn him as a brother. If you read ahead a little in your Bible, it is talking about brothers not wanting to work, being idle and busybodies.

2nd Timothy 5:20. “Those who sin are to be rebuked publicly, so that other may take warning.”

Read 2nd Timothy 3:1-5. Telling of the end times. The last verse says “Have nothing to do with them.” Just one more.

Titus 3:10. “Warn a divisive person once, and then warn him a second time. After that have nothing to do with him.”

As anyone can see who knows what is commanded in holy Scripture, it is imperative to attempt to keep our churches clean of unbelievers. I know of only one church that does just that–though I don’t agree with a some of there beliefs–they are the Jehovah’s Witnesses.JChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01909940646703586254noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13053053.post-71657698937661657592007-02-20T17:37:00.000-07:002007-02-20T17:37:00.000-07:00Al you almost said everything you needed to say in...Al you almost said everything you needed to say in your first two paragraphs, that covers the greatest problem we see in our modern day churches. I think this was present in the early church also. I still don’t understand how can you blame the organized church for the sins of the individual people in the seats.

Here is my example. The church I go to dose no way ever preach that we can make our god into a god of our own making. Yet yesterday, as I was getting a haircut from this girl attends the same church I attend. In our conversation about God she relayed to me that her god would not send anyone to hell because he is all loving. Gasp.. She went on to say the ten commandments were only suggestion. This was most shocking to hear. She sits and hears the same things I listen to but comes to these conclusions. How can you blame organized religion for her sins.

Yes we are going to find idolatry in some of people when ever any group of people come together to worship God. My question is why you need to give up on local church because of a few? (Don’t want to go there right now because you now how I feel about you view.) I have to say, Nice job on this post. I will leave with the parable of the man who sowed good seed . It is intended to show that there would be a mixture of good and bad in Christ’s church, which would continue till the great separation between them in the judgment day: '' Any way that’s my interpretation”

Matthew 13
27"The owner's servants came to him and said, 'Sir, didn't you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?'
28" 'An enemy did this,' he replied.
"The servants asked him, 'Do you want us to go and pull them up?'
29" 'No,' he answered, 'because while you are pulling the weeds, you may root up the wheat with them. 30Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.'' May God bless you..
JayJayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15735274312736540063noreply@blogger.com
