One part of life I hate with a passion is all the evil in the world. I am certain I am not alone. Could God have made this world so there wouldn’t be so much evil? If He could have, I am sure He would have. Or is there some special purpose for evil in God’s plan? As I have said in several other posts, since God has a free will, it was necessary for Him to give humans a free will also so that we would be created in His image; otherwise we would be mere puppets; that freedom left the door wide open for evil to come into existence on earth.
If I were God, I would have done things a little differently. Without taking humanity’s free will away, there may have been a way of eliminating all atrocious acts of evil in this world. Before I reveal that unique plan for life on earth, let us examine several Scriptural events where God reacted harshly to egregious evildoers. 1) Acts 12:22-23. “They shouted, ‘This is the voice of a god, not a man.’ Immediately, because Herod did not give praise to God, an angel of the Lord struck him down, and he was eaten by worms and died.”
Also, 2) in Acts, Chapter 5, verses 1-5, the story of Ananias and Sapphira; they (husband and wife) sold a piece of land and, as was customary, were supposed to give the complete proceeds to their local church to be shared with anyone in need. Evidently they held back some of the money and lied about it. To make a long story short, because they supposedly lied to the Holy Spirit by not telling Peter about the money they held back, they were both struck dead, apparently by God’s angel.
3) Going to the Old Testament, in 2nd Samuel 24:15: The angel of the Lord sent a plague on 7,000 Israelites and they all died, all because of a sin King David committed.
4) Again in the Old Testament, 2nd Kings 19:35. “That night the angel of the Lord went out and put to death 185,000 men in the Assyrian camp.”
5) Numbers 25:1-9. Twenty-four thousand Israelites were killed by a plague sent by the Lord’s angel, because these men indulged in sexual immorality with Moabite women.
There are several other occasions when God—through His angels—destroyed a large number of people, either the enemies of Israel, or on some occasions, killed a large number of Israelites for being dishonest, disobedient or immoral.
These above Scriptures give a hint of the way The Lord God did occasionally respond to evil people. Since in this chapter I am playing the part of God, if I were in control of creating life on earth, I would use a similar but more aggressive technique than The Lord did in dealing with extremely evil people that do harm to others.
The first thing I would do when I create human life would be to assign every newborn a personal angel—some call them guardian angels. These angels would have a dual task, but would not make their existence known. Their first assignment would be to gently guide their entities into the holy ways of God Almighty, though never using force. Their second job is to make sure the ones in their charge never commit evil acts toward anyone.
Since the angels can read the thought of their pawns, if and when they are seriously thinking of doing anyone serious harm, they have the duty of pulling the plug on their life. That’s it. No doubt this type of action will not do away with all evil, since some parochial evil will not be worthy of death. The nice part of this type of death is that no one will know exactly why or how these people are dying; it would be a mystery of sorts. One thing for sure: Overpopulation will never become a problem on earth.
There still will be pain, suffering and sorrow from natural causes, but one thing is for sure: Words like “violence,” “war,” and “hatred” can virtually be deleted from our dictionaries and vocabulary. I am certain most of us would prefer this type of life.
This above scenario is not that farfetched, or out of character with our loving God. For those familiar with the book of Revelation—a subtitle for that book could have been the book of Angels; the word “angel/s” is mentioned no less than 83 times in Revelation—God’s holy and powerful angels are given the duty of systematically destroying unbelievers, evil and wicked people that do not have the seal of God–whatever it might be. Most, if not all, of this killing will be done during the tribulation period, and we are not given even a hint as to how many years it will last; it could be less than a year or two, or a few hundred years. During that period, God again, as in the Old Testament, is taking an active part in the lives of humans through His angels.
Let me give you several verses displaying the severity of God’s angels: Revelation 9:15. “And the four angels who have been kept ready for this very hour and day and month and year were released to kill a third of mankind.” Since there are about seven billion people on earth as of 2006, that third would be over two billion people. That would leave some four billion.
Then in Revelation 9:18, “A third of mankind was killed by three plagues of fire, smoke and sulfur that came out of their mouths.” That makes the four billion dwindle down to a little over one billion humans left on earth.
Although I playact the part of God as aforementioned, my way of eliminating evil may sound great, but there may be some major reasons why God didn’t do it that way. One reason may have been that if these people that were about to commit evil acts were allowed to live, some would/might have repented of their wicked lives and decided to believe in the ways of God. Another reason could be not knowing where to draw the line between a lesser evil and a greater evil (gray area). I am certain God chose the best way to get as many people as possible into His eternal kingdom, even if it cost the blood of millions upon millions of innocent victims, and the heartaches of those like myself.
Nevertheless, I still hate evil and can’t wait to leave this world so I won’t have to be tormented by the pain of people, especially little children, who are left fatherless after loved ones are killed, especially in the Iraq war. I am not talking about only a few American solders that are killed every few days, but also the thousands of Iraqis who have been killed since the war started. How many brokenhearted children and wives are there with no fathers or husbands? They are humans with feelings just like us; this is something the media never talks about. Those children and wives are not our enemies. I know many will agree with me and have sympathy for the ones who have been violated. Death is permanent. These children’s lives will be affected in adverse ways for the rest of their existence, and they will always wonder, “Why were my father and/or mother and/or sister/s and/or brother/s killed?” It just isn’t fair.
Can anyone understand why I hate America leading the way into this horrible war? And George W. Bush is responsible for all the pain and sorrow of millions. As I have said several times, what bothers me more than all else is that he claims to be a born-again Evangelical Christian. At this time, I am ashamed to call myself an Evangelical Christian because some might place me in a synonymous position with a fake Christian like Bush.
I don’t know how I got started on this subject again when my intent was to write on “If I Were God,” except that I hate the evil that is going on in the world more than most people do, and I wish it would just disappear. If anyone is disturbed by my display of emotions, I apologize.

How do You Know who is a fake Christian or not.And be thankful you didn't create the world your way.No matter how hard we try we are incapable of not making mistakes. It is born within us.I believe God has his reasons for everything he does and it does not always coenside with our will.If God created a world without evil (which if you read the bible you would understand the origin of Satan's defiance and where evil arose from.Eden was perfect until that first temptation.)He would not have given us free will.If God wanted robots to choose him without choice he could have done that. What reward is that? What childs love is special that is forced or programmed. The truth is true love is a choice. The biggest reward in having children is greatly the love they return unto you,and being able to love them in return.

Thanks much for your challenging and well written comments. My response: 1) Every genuine Christian must have an intimate and meticulous awareness of the contents of the New Testament. That holy book, especially the gospels, makes it extremely clear as to who are real Christians and who are the fakes. Matthew 7:16. “By their fruit [life] you will recognize them.” We must always honestly and without bios, first examine our status as to Christ’ requirements, and then we will be able to spot the fakes.
2) When God created this world, He had eternity in mind. God could not have use my plan to remove evil, for the simple reason without evil in the world, live would be mostly like peaches and cream. For that reason, many people wouldn’t desire anything better (heaven). Yes, evil does have a purpose in God plan: to get as many humans as possible–those who are sick and tired of evil people-- to desire God’s good life (eternity). My plan as God to do away with egregiously evil people, would not make the savings of souls as efficient. As I mentioned in the blog, God desires as many as possible to be with Him, where as, my plan would still work, since I would settle for less in heaven, just to get rid of much of the evil in today’s world. That is not the way Jehovah God works.
By the way, I am not talking about nonbelievers, they will all end up in hell, even though many of them are kinder and have better morals than some who claim the name of Jesus.
3) As everyone making mistakes, that is not what I am talking about; that is the reason we have a need for a Savior, Jesus Christ.
4) Yes I agree with you, evil originated in the heavenly realms because of the angels freewill. Therefore, until all evil is once and for all eliminated even in heavenly places, freewill will choose the seemingly easy way (sin).
I believe you have not read much of this website. If you had, you would have found out it does coincide with the New Testament. If at any time, I avoid including the hard-edged parts, please let me know, because that is what we bring to the light; they are the commands that the organized church must avoids in order to stay in business. Click on the April, 06 archives # 142: “Conspiracy of Silence” for more details on this subject.
Evil was created long before Adam, God created the earth for Lucifer and his Angels that fell with him , this is how God got rid of evil in heaven.the bible is clear on this.
Thanks for your comment. Can you give me the Bible verse that say the earth was made for Lucifer and his angels, etc.
Mr. Thinker, we all know that there is no verse that says God created the earth for Lucifer, God knew beforehand that Lucifer and his evil spirits would be casted out of heaven, flesh and blood will not be in the kindom of heaven. So why would God put evil spirits and human beings together on the same planet, these evil spirits (not Lucifer) are getting a second chance to come back to God, through human beings, by being born again.life was created because of these falling Angels, God wants them back.
Thanks for your comments. I don’t want the readers of this blog-sites to get confused. Half of what you wrote seem to contradict itself, and the other half I don’t understand what you are saying. I hope I am not offending you for criticizing your comments; therefore, I will let the Bible be the critic.
Revelation 12:7. And there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. The great dragon was hurled down–-the ancient serpent called the devil or Satan, who lead the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.”
Ephesians 6:12. “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”
These two verses should end the controversy. Thanks again for your interest in this website. May God bless and help you in living the Christian life.

After reviewing # blog # 166, I see how you got the idea, as if evil made it appearance on earth before it started in heaven, I corrected that misunderstanding by adding the words ‘on earth.’ Thanks again for your critique.
Apology excepted Al. You should be ashamed of yourself to think you are greater or smarter then God. That He should have done things your way. I think you need to find a church to go to that may lead you to really know who God is. (or start your own) We need other saved people in our lives to keep us from going off the deep end. It seems to me you are missing the point of why we are here on earth.. In Love Jay
Jay, where did I say I am greater or smarter than God. You better go back to grade school and learn how to comprehend what you read. My whole argument is that it pains me to see or hear about people that are suffering. Read that blog again. As to finding a church to really know who God is, I will relay the same message to you. You know absolutely nothing about my religious life; therefore stop making assumptions. As to why we are here as Christians, there is only one reason: to display what Jesus Christ is like. He is not a wimp. I don’t have to defend my Christianity to you. For your sake I suggest you don’t read “Religion’s Crime Against God” It is not meant for you. If you write me any more nasty comments and I will delete them. My time is too valuable; every minute counts. I have an important job.
I'm tempted to agree wih Jay only in as much as I hope you meet God's son. You need him.
Amanda, Ha ha.
