Day Eighteen

DISPLAY OF VITAL SIGNS, ETC.

1) Lean body mass: little over a 111 lbs

2) Body fat: about , 03%

3) Pulse: 51

4) Weight:114.5. I lost half a pound in the last day. Once the body weight gets to an 18% of the starting weight, the fast must be stopped. That mens when I get to 112 lbs, I must stop. At that time the organs will start to be eaten by the body. This fact makes me sad and discouraged.

5) Body Temperature: 97.5. The same as yesterday.

6) Blood pressure: 98 over 61. My blood pressure has always been low ----120 over 80 is optimal: 160 over 100, is Grade 1 hypertension (mild), etc.

7) Body fluid’s pH display: 5.5, the same as it has been for some time; seems like it is going to remain this way, therefore I will check it every day or so. Without eating healthy food, I can’t do anything about this low reading, but it still is extremely unhealthy. One reassuring thing is that even when the body fluid pH is low the blood somehow remains at 7.5.; how long that occurs, I am not sure. The reason for a very low pH is this: the two main ingredients needed to keep the body fluids alkaline are calcium and vitamin D, along with that a lot of fresh calcium rich fruit and vegetables, cooked and raw, and of course supplementation, like coral calcium. The main source of vitamin D comes from exposure to sunshine; a poor source is from synthetic supplements. It is literally impossible to get enough vitamin D from food sources, since the majority of natural foods are almost void of natural vitamin D. Acidic body fluids is one of the main reasons for much of the sickness and disease in the world today. So I can understand why my body fluids are so low; I haven’t had any calcium or vitamin D for f\18 days. I am certain,I will survive until the end of my time of prayer and fasting. My pH has always been from 7.0 to 7.5. ------ 7.0 is neutral; any digits below 7.0 is acidic; any digits above 7.0 is alkaline. Most healthy people, especially the young, will usually have readings in the alkaline range, while most older people will have readings in the acidic range. Over a long period of time, that spells trouble.

8) Same as yesterday. Mental and emotional conditions: It seems all my mental faculties have improved, including my memory. I feel they are almost normal.

9) Spiritual experiences: I now realize that I was not heavy enough to fast as long as I wanted to: I should have waited until I gained much more weight, as long as it took, and then attempt this fast. I am disappointed with the results.

Repeating, the reason for lack of strong faith in the world nowadays is because of our modern, sophisticated lifestyle. Faith in spiritual matters is not needed, since our present-day culture has made it just about obsolete. This world can give us almost everything we need. Will we have enough faith to overcome this enormous barrier? The only way that will be possible is if that power is given to us by God, and I am confident He will give it.

10) Physical condition : I am still weak in the mornings, but seem to feel more energetic in the afternoon. I try to drink as much water as possible; it is getting easier. Worth repeating what I said a few days ago: Actually there are three unexpected windfalls: first my sense of smell is more acute, next, my hearing is better, and lastly, my eyesight have improve measurably, to the point of giving my eyes near perfect vision. Believe it or not by Ripley.

11) Daily activities: Listen to the New Testament for a few hours. Then I have to change these vital signs each day, which is getting t be a chore. I always get plenty of sleep. I read for several hours. I can still drive my car, so I drove around and bought a few necessities, and of course my favorite past-time is to lie down or sit down.

How will all the above figures and attitudes continually change my life/our lives in the uncomfortable and extreme conditions of prayer and fasting? Physically, your guess is as good as mine, but spiritually I am extremely optimistic. In the next few days, hopefully we will find out.

This sounds like an obsurd statistic, "Once the body weight gets at 18% of the starting weight, the fast must be stopped. At that time the organs will start to be eaten by the body." For example; if a 250 pound man fasted and lost his 18% he would go down to 205, but chances are he'd still have some fat left to "burn". You, starting off at such a smaller amount of weight makes me think that you could be at more of a risk compared to someone else who has the weight to burn. I do not disagree that you should end your fast at that point. I disagree that a flat a 18% can be used for everyone.

Anonymous, thanks for your correction. You are absolutely correct, that formula is erroneous. I got in on the Internet, from what I thought was a reliable source. I still will stop my fasting this Sunday, because my body fat will be close to zero; from then on in, it would be too risky to go any further. Besides that, I am feeling so weak at time, my body also seems to tell me, stop! JC

It is good to listen to your body. It sounds like you feel your fast might have not brought you what you were hoping for, I am sure it wasn't in vain. God will allow people to experience "Real Miracles" when they vibrate in harmony with him. It sounds like you dedicate your life to him and that's after all what he demands.
God bless you and yours!!
